Didon my Tunisian project with Meriem Ben Amor received 2 JUNO Nominations for Best Electronic Album & Best Global Album of the year. Unfortunately we did not win, but was such an honor to attend and be a part of this years show in Hamilton Canada.

My friend Katta & I just finished our experimental church organ album, Salvátora — a beautiful feeling of accomplishment & joy. Excited to start performing this live again. Stay tuned for release details. ✨

I performed live on January 17th in Sofia, Bulgaria, w/ Ivan Shopov & New Bulgarian Voices, conducted by Georgi Petkov.
This performance is part of my Bulgarian Choir project, created together w/ Ivan & Dhani Harrison on Dark Horse Records/ BMG.

Just back from China after another beautiful tour with my nomadic Tuvan brothers, Huun-Huur-Tu.

Had an unforgettable evening inside the Kostel Salvátora church last week, unveiling my new project with my collaborator Katta. Deep gratitude to Lunchmeat Festival for inviting us, and to everyone who braved the cold and helped us sell out the church. Thank you, Grand River and Abul Mogard — it was an honor to share the stage/ alter with you both. Stay tuned for the release in early 2026.

-Lunchmeat, the Prague-based experimental electronic festival, will present Katta & Carmen Rizzo on November 21, 2025, at Salvátora church in Prague. Also on the bill will be Grand River & Abul Mogard. Tickets available here.

-My new project, a collaboration between Dhani Harrison, Carmen Rizzo, and Ivan Shopov, “Ascending Into Silence,” the album features The New Bulgarian Voices conducted by Georgi Petkov — a reimagined take on Bulgarian choir music — will be released on November 28, 2025, for Record Store Day, released on Dark Horse / BMG Records. -I will be touring China once again in mid-December 2025 with Huun Huur Tu, starting in Shanghai. Details here.

-Katta & Carmen Rizzo – “Salvátora”. Just finished and will be released later in 2025. Classically trained organist Katta and I came together in Prague to reimagine the church organ in a very experimental way. Blending classical tradition with experimental ambient electronics, we recorded at Kostel U Salvátora and the Gabriel Loci monastery.

-JUNO NOMINATION! My Didon album “Malak” just got nominated for Best Global Music Album of the Year for 2025. The Junos are Canada’s version of the Grammys.

-I am very excited to join the Wise Music Publishing family. Proud to be part of such an eclectic roster, including Ólafur Arnalds, Anoushka Shankar, Philip Glass, Moderat/Apparat, Hania Rani, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Ludovico Einaudi, Dustin O’Halloran, and Kiasmos, to name a few.

-I will teach a music production masterclass in Auckland, New Zealand, for The Aotearoa Music Producer Series on February 12-16. More info here

-I am very honored to have done my second TEDx talk, & doing it here in Prague made it especially meaningful. I shared the stage with so many inspiring speakers & performers. The theme of the event was Metamorphosis,  my topic focused on embracing technology in music. I opened the show with a performance alongside the amazing Terezie Kovalova on cello, then transitioned straight into my speech—while the timer was counting down & the stage was slowly moving in the round! It wasn’t easy, but I was thrilled to have had a small part in such an incredible event. Thank you, TEDxPrague! You can watch it here.

I recently did a Music Production masterclass while I was in Guatemala City mixing.

I just got back from Sofia Bulgaria where I was recording my new project Bulgaria Nuevo with Ivan Shopov. It is a Bulgarian female choir featuring the best singers New Bulgarian Voices with conductor Georgi Petkov. Stay tuned for more details.
